The idea for Udderly Hot Mama® was born not too long after a beautiful baby named Deanna came into the world. Her mom Melanie, a journalist by trade who reads fashion magazines religiously, couldn’t wait to get her postpartum body back so she could start wearing trendy clothes again. But even when Melanie began to slowly shed the pregnancy weight, her body was still not her own. Deanna was still part owner. Nursing around the clock and on a moment’s notice in public meant Melanie was not able to wear her regular, pre-pregnancy clothes. After an unsuccessful search in stores and online for nursing shirts that were both flattering and functional, she felt a calling to design her own shirts that would make women look beautiful and feel comfortable while breastfeeding their babies at home and in public or pumping milk. Mom works so hard caring for baby, so we help take care of mom.
